Holly Johnson Gallery in Dallas is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition Back and Forth: Celebrating 10 Years on Saturday, April 4, from 6-8 pm. Back and Forth commemorates the tenth anniversary of Holly Johnson Gallery, located in its new home in the Dallas Design District and will feature several gallery artists. Back and Forth: Celebrating 10 Years continues through June 20, 2015.
Since the gallery's inauguration in April of 2005, it has presented nearly ninety exhibitions. The anniversary exhibition is about looking back in time as well as looking forward into the future —with highlights of where we’ve been and where we’re going. For the past decade the gallery’s program has promoted contemporary art by exhibiting painting, photography, drawing and sculpture.
The gallery’s roster includes artists from Texas, California, Florida, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. Artists included in Back & Forth are: Rebecca Carter, Matthew Cusick, Raphaëlle Goethals, Geoff Hippenstiel, Otis Jones, Michelle Mackey, Antonio Murado, Matt Rich, David Row, Margo Sawyer, Kim Squaglia and Jackie Tileston.
Holly Johnson Gallery artists are included in the permanent collections of such institutions as the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Austin Museum of Art, San Antonio Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
