PRESS RELEASE: We're Moving!

December 18, 2014 - Holly Johnson Gallery

After nearly a decade on Dragon Street in the Dallas Design District, Holly Johnson Gallery will relocate to a new, custom built space at the end of the year. The gallery strives to provide culturally significant experiences for all art enthusiasts, and this will continue in the new space, located only a few blocks from the current Dragon Street location. The gallery's first exhibition in the new facility will open in January 2015.

Known for a commitment to excellence, Holly Johnson Gallery presents intriguing and challenging work, mounts intelligent exhibitions, and blends historically important works of art with emerging artists of the 21st century. The newly renovated, sky-lit building will enhance the experience of gallery patrons while continuing to promote the work of contemporary artists from throughout the U.S.

Working closely with museums and private collectors as a dealer and consultant, gallery owner and director Holly Johnson continues to refine and augment the careers of well-known contemporary artists while increasing the appreciation of their art. Johnson, a Dallas native, received her B.F.A. from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. While pursuing her studies, Johnson began a 30-year career in the art world with extensive internships at both Zolla/Lieberman Gallery and the Art Institute of Chicago in the Prints and Drawings Department. She returned to Texas in 1990 to direct Adams-Middleton Gallery in Dallas, then on to Houston's Barbara Davis Gallery. She returned to Dallas in 1999 to direct Pillsbury & Peters Fine Art and founded Holly Johnson Gallery in 2005. The gallery is a founding member of Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas - CADD.

We will close December 21 and re-open in the New Year at our new location
